Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk a). Mendeskripsikan sejarah perjuangan Masyarakat Dena dalam mempertahankan kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia di Bima, b). Mendeskripsikan tokoh yang berperan dalam mmempertahankan kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia di Bima. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Bima merupakan barometer perjuangan dan perlawanan terhadap penjajah untuk merebut dan mempertahankan kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia di Bima, rakyat Dena memiliki andil yang sangat besar bagi kemerdekaan. Rasa patriotisme dan nasionalisme yang di miliki oleh Masyarakat itu diwujudkan dengan melakukan perlawanan bersenjata yang menjadi pembangkit dan pemicu bagi rakyat hal inilah yang mengakibatkan Masyarakat Dena menjadi barometer perlawanan terhadap penjajah di Desa Dena. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, sedangkan metode yang digunakan adalah metode sejarah yang terdiri dari tahapan heuristik, kritik sumber, interpretasi dan historiografi. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Bima merupakan barometer perjuangan dan perlawanan terhadap penjajah untuk merebut dan mempertahankan kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia di Bima, rakyat Dena memiliki andil yang sangat besar bagi kemerdekaan. Rasa patriotis me dan nasionalisme yang di miliki oleh Masyarakat itu diwujudkan dengan melakukan perlawanan bersenjata yang menjadi pembangkit dan pemicu bagi rakyat hal inilah yang mengakibatkan Masyarakat Dena menjadi barometer perlawanan terhadap penjajah di Desa Dena. Hasil penelitian ini mengajukan beberapa saran antara lain yaitu a). Kepada para pendidik khususnya yang memegang mata pelajaran sejarah diharapkan karya tulis ini dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan acuan dalam mengajarkan sejarah daerah agar para peserta didik tidak lupa akan sejarahnya khususnya sejarah daerah Bima. b). Sejarah adalah cerminan masa lalu untuk dijadikan sebagai pedoman dalam menapak masa depan.Untuk itu disarankan bagi peserta didik sebagai generasi muda Daerah Bima diharapkan tekun dalam mempelajari sejarah Daerahnya. Ambil hikmahnya dan buang ampasnya karena tak ada kebanggaan yang patut diwarisi kecuali keteladanan dalam mengembangkan tugas dan tanggung jawab masa depan. c). Kepada peneliti lain disarankan agar melakukan penelitian yang lebih luas dan mendalam dengan buku – buku yaang konkrit agar hasil yang dicapai dapat maksimal dan obyektif.
Abstract: The purpose of this research for a). Describing the history of the struggle of Dena society in defending the independence of the Republic of Indonesia in Bima, b). Describing the role of the people who play in the independence of the Republic of Indonesia in Bima. The results of this study concluded that Bima is a barometer of struggle and resistance to the invaders to seize and defend the independence of the Republic of Indonesia in Bima, Dena people have a huge share for independence. The sense of patriotism and nationalism possessed by the society was manifested by the armed resistance that became the generator and the trigger for the people of this matter that resulted in Dena society being a barometer of resistance to The invaders in Dena village. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, whereas the method used is a historical method consisting of heuristic stages, criticism of sources, interpretation and historiography. The results of this study concluded that Bima is a barometer of struggle and resistance to the invaders to seize and defend the independence of the Republic of Indonesia in Bima, Dena people have a huge share for independence. The patriotic sense of me and nationalism possessed by the society was manifested by the armed resistance that became the generator and the trigger for the people of this matter that resulted in Dena society being a barometer of resistance to The invaders in Dena village. The results of this study asked some advice, among others, a). To educators, especially those who hold historical subjects are expected to work this paper can be used as a reference material in teaching the local history so that the learners do not forget about their history in particular the historical area of Bima. b). History is a reflection of the past to serve as a guideline in the future of the future. Therefore, it is recommended for learners as the younger generation of Bima region is expected to be diligent in studying the history of his region. Take the wisdom and dispose of its severity because there is no pride to be inherited except for the accuracy of developing future duties and responsibilities. c). To other researchers it is advisable to do a wider and deeper research with the books of the concrete so that the results achieved can be maximal and objective.References
