PENDEKATAN MASTERY LEARNING DALAM PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR SEJARAH PADA SISWA KELAS XII SMAN 8 MATARAM

Abstrak: Umumnya metode pembelajaran yang sering diterapkan oleh guru SMAN 8 Mataram adalah metode ceramah, khususnya guru kelas XII. Penggunaan metode ceramah yang diikuti dengan contoh dan latihan ini mengakibatkan  sebagian  besar  siswa  sering  mengalami  kesulitan  dalam memahami materi yang diajarkan. Hal ini menyebabkan kurang antusiasnya siswa dalam memahami materi yang di pelajari dan menyebabkan hasil belajar siswa menjadi rendah. Oleh karena itu, peneliti mencoba menggunakan Pendekatan Mastery Learning Dalam Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari 2 siklus yang memuat tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan  refleksi.  Subjek  dari  Peneliti  ini  adalah  siswa kelas  XII SMAN 8 Mataram  yang berjumlah  22  orang siswa.  Pendekatan  yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 1) tes hasil belajar yang diberiakan setiap berakhinya siklus belajar mengajar, 2) Lembar observasi untuk memperoleh gambaran langsung tentang kegiatan belajar mengajar Sejarah melalui Pendekatan  Mastery Legarning. Data yang diperoleh berupa tes yaitu: berupa tes siklus I, Tes sikluS II. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yaitu pada siklus I indeks prestasi kelompok mencapai angka 65,23 dengan persentase 59,10%. pada siklus II idndeks prestasi kelompok telah mencapai angka 76,14 dengan persentase ketuntasan 18,82%. Nilai ini telah memenuhi kriteria sesuai dengan indikator penilaian yaitu adanya peningkatan rata-rata skor hasil belajar siswa, sehingga dapat di simpulkan bahwa melalui pendekatan metode Mastery Learning  dapat meningkatkan hasil  belajar  siswa kelas SMAN 8 Mataram.

Abstract: Generally, the learning method that is often applied by SMAN 8 Mataram Teachers is the lecture method, especially the teacher of class XII. The use of a lecture method followed by these examples and exercises resulted in the majority of students having difficulty in understanding the material being taught. This leads to less enthusiastic students in understanding the material being learned and causing student learning outcomes to be low. Therefore, researchers try to use the Mastery Learning approach in improving student learning outcomes. The research method used is class action research consisting of 2 cycles that contain the planning, implementation, observation and reflection phases. The subject of this researcher is a grade XII student from the students of 8 Mataram, which amounted to 22 students. The approach used in this research is a qualitative and quantitative approach. The method of collecting the data used in this study is 1) a test of learning results that is happy to each of the learners the cycle of teaching learning, 2) observation sheets to obtain a direct picture of the study teaching activities history through The approach of Mastery Legarning. The Data obtained in the form of test is: test cycle I, Cycle II test. From the results of the study showed that there was an increase in the average student learning results in the I cycle of the group Achievement Index reached 65.23 with a percentage of 59.10%. On cycle II Idndeks Achievement Group has reached the number 76.14 with a percentage of the proof of 18.82%. This value meets the criteria in accordance with the assessment indicators, namely the increase in the average score of student learning, so that it can be concluded that through the approach of Mastery Learning method can improve students ' learning outcomes of SMAN 8 Mataram.References
