PEMBERDAYAAN HOME INDUSTRY GAGANG SABIT DI KLATEN MELALUI PROGRAM KEMITRAAN MASYARAKAT

Abstrak: Pemberdayaan home industry gagang sabit di kabupaten klaten melalui program kemitraan masyarakat difokuskan pada pemecahan 2 (dua) masalah utama yakni masalah utama yang pertama ialah proses produksi dan masalah utama yang kedua adalah proses pemasaran. Masalah utama yang pertama yakni dilihat dari proses produksi, produsen gagang sabit di Kabupaten Klaten ini mempunyai 3 permasalahan, yakni 1) tidak adanya mesin/alat pemotong bahan baku, 2) alat yang digunakan kurang modern dan safety, dan 3) limbah kayu yang perlu di manfaatkan. Masalah utama yang kedua adalah proses pemasaran, yakni secara tradisional atau mulut ke mulut. Solusi untuk mengatasi masalah-masalah tersebut dilakukan dengan beberapa cara sesuai dengan permasalahnnya, antara lain: 1) untuk menggatasi masalah tidak adanya mesin/alat pemotong bahan baku, tim pengabdi mendesain dan membuat alat pemotong bahan baku; 2) untuk mengatasi masalah alat yang digunakan kurang modern dan safety, tim pengabdi mendesain ulang mesin bubut tradisional yang lebih modern dan mengedepankan faktor safety; 3) untuk mengatasi masalah limbah kayu yang perlu di manfaatkan, tim pengabdi mencari pihak yang mau menampung dan mengolah limbah kayu. Untuk mengatasi masalah proses pemasaran, tim pengabdi menggunakan internet marketing untuk pemasaran gagang sabit. Pemberdayaan ini dapat dikatan berhasil karena volume produksi yang sebelumnya 100 buah/hari menjadi 300 buah/hari. Abstract: Empowerment of the crescent handle home industry in Klaten district through a community partnership program over the resolution of 2 (two) main problems, namely the first main problem is the production process and the second major problem is the marketing process. The first major problem is seen from the production process, the manufacturer of sickle handles in Klaten Regency has 3 problems, namely 1) there is no raw material cutting machine / tool, 2) the tools used are less modern and safe, and 3) the wood waste needed in Take advantage. The second major problem is the marketing process, which is traditional or word of mouth. The solution to overcome these problems is done in several ways according to the problem, including: 1) to overcome the problem of the absence of machines / raw material cutting tools, the service team designs and manufactures raw material cutting tools; 2) to overcome the problem of tools that are used less modern and safe, the service team redesigned a more modern traditional lathe and put forward the safety factor; 3) to overcome the wood problem that needs to be utilized, the team is looking for parties who want to collect and process wood waste. To overcome the problem of the marketing process, the service team used internet marketing to market the sickle handles. This empowerment can be said to be successful because the previous production volume was 100 pieces / day to 300 pieces / day.References
