BAHASA DAN LATAR TEMPAT SEBAGAI PENDEKATAN DALAM VIDEO PENYULUHAN TENTANG VIRUS COVID-19

Abstrak: Pandemi Covid-19 merupakan wabah besar yang sedang terjadi di seluruh belahan dunia, termasuk di Indonesia. Penularan virus Covid-19 di Indonesia yang massive  menuntut adanya informasi yang tepat dan disebarkan secara terus menerus agar masyarakat dapat meningkatkan kesadaran dan mendapatkan edukasi yang tepat mengenai penyebaran dan pencegahan Covid-19. Pada beberapa masyarakat yang kental dengan budaya, seperti masyarakat Madura, diperlukan pendekatan kontekstual dalam melakukan penyuluhan agar informasi tersebut bisa sampai dengan tepat pada masyarakat. Latar belakang budaya dan latar wilayah daerah menjadi pertimbangan penting dalam kegiatan penyuluhan Covid-19. Penyuluhan dilakukan melalui video yang telah dibuat dengan menggunakan bahasa Madura dengan tujuan informasi dan himbauan tersebut terasa dekat dengan masyarakat, sehingga perhatian pada informasi dan pelaksanaan himbauan lebih banyak dilakukan. Penyuluhan ini dilakukan pada salah satu daerah di Kabupaten Pamekasan, Madura yang kental akan budayanya. Hasilnya masyarakat lebih memahami cara menghindar dari virus Covid-19 dan dapat mengurangi penyebaran virus tersebut.
Abstract: The Covid-19 pandemic is a major epidemic that currently occurring in all parts of the world, including in Indonesia. The massive transmission of the Covid-19 virus in Indonesia requires proper and continuous information to be disseminated so that the public could raise the awareness and receive the right information about the spread and prevention of Covid-19. In some societies that are salient with culture values, such as the Madurese community, a contextual approach is needed in conducting prevention program so that the information could reach the community accurately. Cultural values and regional background are essential points for conducting Covid-19 counseling program. Therefore, the prevention and mitigation of Covid-19 program in Madura should be conducted in a contextual manner so it more appealing and close the heart of public. The counseling was conducted through videos using the Madurese language with the cultural approach so many people could raise their awareness about the importance of Covid-19 prevention program. This counseling was carried out in one of the areas in Pamekasan Regency, Madura which salient with its cultural value.
