MANUFACTURE OF BREATHABLE PILLOWS TO INCREASE COMFORT OF HEART FAILURE PATIENTS

Abstrak: Upaya untuk meningkatkan kenyaman pasien Gagal Jantung adalah pengaturan posisi. Posisi merupakan salah satu faktor yang harus diperhatikan dalam menjaga sirkulasi sistemik yang adekuat karena dapat mempengaruhi sistem hemodinamik pada pasien gagal jantung, salah satunya adalah dengan pembuatan inovasi bantal yang didesain dengan tinggi 45 derajat. Tujuan pembuatan bantal ini adalah untuk dapat digunakan oleh setiap orang yang merasakan ketidaknyamanan pada pasien yang mempunyai penyakit gagal jantung seperti saat sesak, kesulitan tidur, dan dalam jangka waktu yang panjang bantal ini dapat terus digunakan. Metode pelaksanaan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi: analisis kebutuhan, persiapan alat dan bahan, pembuatan pola bantal, produksi bantal, finishing produk, pengujian produk dan evaluasi produk. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan didapatkan bahwa bahwa bantal dengan sudut 45° mampu mengatasi ketidaknyamanan pada pasien gagal jantung. Disarankan kepada seluruh pasien yang mempunyai penyakit gagal jantung agar dapat mengatur posisi dengan tepat agar dapat meningkatkan kenyamanan pada saat beristirahati.
Abstract: Effort to improve the comfort of patients with heart failure are positioning. Positioning is one of the factors that must be considered in maintaining adequate systrmic circulation because it can affect the hemodynamic system in Heart Failure patients, one which is the manufacture of pillow innovations that are designed with a height of 45 degress. The purpose of making this pillow is to be used by everyone who feels discomfort in patients who have heart failure such as shortness of breath, difficuly sleeping, and in the long term this pillow can continue to be used. Implementation methods in this activity include; needs analysis, preparation of tools abd materials, pillow pattern making, pillow production, product finishing, prodect testing and product evaluation. The result of activity found that a pillow with an angle of 45° was able to overcome discomfort in heart failure patients. It is recommended to all patients who have heart failure to able to adjust the position correctly in order to increase comfort at rest.
