Abstract

Desa Jeringo merupakan salah satu daerah di Lombok Barat yang paling parah terdampak gempa bumi 5 Agustus 2018 lalu. Sekitar 80% tempat tinggal, sarana peribadahan dan sarana pendidikan hancur oleh guncangan gempa berkekuatan 7 SR tersebut. Gempa bumi juga berdampak terhadap melemahnya perekonomian masyarakat Desa Jeringo diberbagai dimensi.

Mayoritas masyrakat Desa Jeringo bermatapencaharian sebagai petani dan peternak dimana produk pertanian yang melimpah di desa jeringo adalah daun kelor. Selama ini komiditas tersebut hanya dimanfaatkan sebagai hasil bumi yang dijual dalam kondisi segear oleh masyarakat setempat. Upaya pemberdayaan masyarakat agar mampu secara mandiri memanfaatkan potensi daerahnya salah satunya dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mengenai ekonomi kreatif berupa pelatihan pembuatan sabun daun kelor.

ABSTRACT

Jeringo is one of the village in West Lombok that was most severely affected by the earthquake. About 80% of dwellings, religious facilities and educational facilities were destroyed by the 7-magnitude earthquake. The earthquake also affected the economy of Jeringo Village in various dimensions.

The majority of Jeringo villagers work as farmers and ranchers. The abundant agricultural products in Jeringo are Moringa (Moringa oleifera). This commodity has only been used as agricultural products which are sold in the same conditions by the local community. The effort to empower the villagers to be able to independently utilize their regional potential with knowledge and skills regarding the creative economy in the form of training in making Moringa soap.
