Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of zero waste waste management practices in Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara Province. The research method used is the type of library research method. The library study method refers to theories and results from several scientific literatures such as books, journals, previous research and government regulations. The results of the study show that the practice of zero waste waste management has succeeded in reducing the volume of waste disposed of in landfills and increasing public participation and awareness of sustainable and environmentally friendly waste management. However, this research also reveals that there are challenges in implementing zero waste, including a lack of public understanding of the principle of zero waste and the need to improve supporting infrastructure. Therefore, this research suggests the need for further efforts in public education and increased investment in waste management infrastructure to support the implementation of zero waste in an effective and sustainable manner.
