PENYULUHAN DAN DEMO PENGOLAHAN MP-ASI SEBAGAI UPAYA PENINGKATAN WAWASAN KADER POSYANDU DALAM PELAYANAN GIZI MASYARAKAT

Abstrak: Kader memiliki peran yang sangat penting sebagai perpanjangan tangan pemberian informasi kesehatan kepada masyarakat dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas dan status gizi khususnya kesehatan ibu dan anak. Baik tidaknya pengetahuan kader akan berdampak terhadap informasi yang diberikan kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan penyuluhan dan demo pengolahan MP-ASI yang baik dan benar kepada kader posyandu di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sungai Ulin, Kota Banjarbaru, Kalimantan Selatan sebanyak 39 orang untuk lebih meningkatkan wawasan dalam pelayanan gizi di posyandu. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap kegiatan. Tahap pertama pra-test dan penyuluhan, tahap kedua demo masak dan post-test dan tahap ketiga evaluasi pendampingan kader. Pada tahap pertama dilakukan pengumpulan data dengan kuesioner (pra-test) kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pemberian materi penyuluhan tentang konsep dasar pemberian dan pengolahan MP-ASI. Tahap kedua, demo cara pengolahan MP-ASI dan diakhiri dengan pengumpulan data post-test. Tahap akhir dilakukan pendampingan dan evaluasi pengetahuan dan kemampuan kader melakukan edukasi kepada ibu balita saat kunjungan ke rumah. Hasil pra-test rerata pengetahuan kader sebesar 46% dan post-test sebesar 74%. Dari hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa pemberian penyuluhan dan demo pengolahan MP-ASI meningkatkan pengetahuan kader dengan rerata peningakatan sebesar 28 %.

Abstract: Cadres have a very important role as an extension of providing health information to the community in an effort to improve the quality and nutritional status, especially maternal and child health. Whether the cadre's knowledge is good or not will have an impact on the information provided to the community. This service activity aims to conduct counseling and demonstrations of good and correct MP-ASI processing to cadres in order to further improve their insight in nutrition services at posyandu. Service activities are carried out through several stages of activity. The first stage is pre-test and counseling, the second stage is cooking demonstration and post-test and the third stage is evaluation of cadre assistance. In the first stage, data collection was carried out with a questionnaire (pre-test) then continued with the provision of counseling material on the basic concepts of MP-ASI feeding and processing. In the second stage, a demonstration on how to process complementary food and ended with the collection of post-test data. The final stage was assistance and evaluation of cadres' knowledge and ability to educate mothers of toddlers during home visits. The average pre-test result of cadre knowledge was 46% and post-test was 74%. From these results it was concluded that the provision of counseling and demonstration of MP-ASI processing increased the knowledge of cadres with an average increase of 28%.
