UPAYA PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT: RUMAH SEHAT BEBAS ASAP ROKOK DI KAWASAN MASYARAKAT TROPIS

Abstrak: Merokok adalah kebiasaan umum di kalangan masyarakat Indonesia, terutama pria. Tingkat merokok di rumah masih tinggi, dan asap tembakau tidak hanya mempengaruhi perokok tetapi juga orang-orang di sekitar mereka sebagai perokok pasif. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberdayakan masyarakat dalam mewujudkan lingkungan rumah yang bebas asap rokok dan mewujudkan keluarga yang bersih dan sehat dengan tidak merokok di rumah. Metode pemberdayaan terdiri dari lima tahap: tahap pertama pertemuan dengan ibu-ibu Dasa Wisma; tahap kedua penyuluhan dan edukasi tentang bahaya asap rokok bagi kesehatan yang diikuti oleh 16 peserta, dan didapatkan terjadi kenaikan skor rata-rata pengetahuan dari 3.87 menjadi 4.47;tahap ketiga deklarasi rumah bebas asap rokok di Kelurahan Bukit Pinang, Kecamatan Samarinda Ulu, Kota Samarinda yang dibacakan oleh peserta yang hadir; tahap keempat aksi penempelan stiker rumah sehat bebas asap rokok di pintu rumah, dengan hasil sebanyak 11 peserta melakukan penempelan stiker; dan tahapan kelima adalah monitoring dan pendampingan pelaksanaan gerakan rumah bebas asap rokok. Saran dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini diharapkan peserta bisa terus meningkatkan upaya rumah bebas asap rokok dirumah masing-masing.

Abstract: Smoking is a common habit among Indonesians, especially men. Smoking rates at home are still high, and tobacco smoke affects not only smokers but also those around them as passive smokers. The purpose of this service is to empower the community in realizing a smoke-free home environment and realizing a clean and healthy family by not smoking at home. The empowerment method consists of five stages: the first stage is a meeting with Dasa Wisma women; the second stage is counseling and education about the dangers of cigarette smoke for health which was attended by 16 participants, and it was found that there was an increase in the average score of knowledge from 3.87 to 4. 47; the third stage was the declaration of smoke-free homes in Bukit Pinang Village, Samarinda Ulu Subdistrict, Samarinda City, which was read by the participants present; the fourth stage was the action of sticking smoke-free healthy home stickers on the door of the house, with the results of 11 participants sticking stickers; and the fifth stage was monitoring and mentoring the implementation of the smoke-free home movement. Suggestions in this community service are expected that participants can continue to increase efforts to smoke-free homes in their respective homes.
