Abstract: Adolescents are individuals who are prone to mental health problems. The unpreparedness for psychosocial growth and development often causes it. The purpose of community service activities is to assess the potential for emotional and behavioral disorders as an effort to detect adolescent mental health problems early. The activity was attended by 28 youth from Ampang Village, Padang which was held for 1 day. Health education is provided using the preparation method, conducting screening using the SDQ-25 instrument (Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire), and providing education. The results obtained illustrate that most adolescents (75%) have normal prosocial behavior, experience normal hyperactivity (78.6%), identify abnormal emotional symptoms (35.7), experience normal behavior problems (60.7%), experience problems with friends peers (50%), and the majority of adolescents (78.6%) have abnormal difficulties. Based on these results, early adolescent detection needs to be done so that it is not too late to carry out the treatment, which can impact more serious mental health problems.
