Abstract

Abstrak: Hipertensi adalah kondisi penyakit yang ditandai dengan peningkatan tekanan darah yang persisten, sehingga dibutuhkan penatalaksanaan yang tepat agar tekanan darah terkontrol. Kader kesehatan sebagai wakil masyarakat memiliki peran penting dalam mencegah timbulnya komplikasi akibat hipertensi. Hipertensi dapat dilakukan secara non-farmakologi salah satunya penggunaan tanaman obat untuk mengatasi hipertensi. Kandungan senyawa kimia dalam tanaman seperti flavonoid, alkaloid, dan karotenoid yang telah ditemukan memiliki efek antihipertensi. Metode yang digunakan adalah KIE (Komunikasi, Informasi dan Edukasi). Pelaksanaan pendidikan kesehatan dilakukan dengan tujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan kader Kesehatan dalam pemanfaatan Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) bagi penderita hipertensi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Balai Desa Krajan, Kecamatan Gatak, Kabupaten Sukoharjo, Jawa Tengah pada tanggal 27 oktober 2022 dihadiri oleh 32 kader kesehatan. Kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah memberikan edukasi secara langsung kepada kader kesehatan. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah adanya peningkatan terhadap pengetahuan kader Kesehatan terkait pemanfaatan Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) bagi penderita hipertensi.

Abstract: Hypertension is a disease condition characterized by a persistent increase in blood pressure, so proper management is needed so that the blood pressure is controlled. Health cadres as representatives of the community have an important role in preventing the onset of complications due to hypertension. Hypertension can be carried out with non-pharmacologically, one of which is the use of medicinal plants to overcome hypertension. The content of chemical compounds in plants such as flavonoids, alkaloids, and carotenoids that have been found to have antihypertensive effects. The method used is CIE (Communication, Information and Education). The implementation of health education is carried out with the aim of increasing the knowledge of Health cadres in the use of Family Medicinal Plants for patient with hypertension. The activity was held at the Krajan Village Hall, Gatak District, Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java on October 27, 2022, attended by 32 health cadres. The activity carried out is to provide education directly to health cadres. The result obtained is, there is an increase in the knowledge of health cadres related to the use of Family Medicinal Plants for patient with hypertension.
