Abstract

Abstract: Everyone, especially health workers, must realize that the wound-healing process has several stages. Hence, treatment needs to be carried out according to the wound condition. Over time, there have been many innovations in wound care techniques. One is adverse pressure wound treatment (NPP) technology or negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT). The purpose of this program is to support health workers in an attempt to develop the knowledge, awareness, and ability to be skilled in performing wound care in hospitals and home care using the negative pressure wound care technique. This program was attended by 36 health workers of AMC Hospital Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The results obtained were an increase in the average pre-test knowledge score of 6.05 and post-test of 8.61. Through this empowerment program, we hope that health workers' knowledge will increase and they will become more skilled in wound care.
