PEMBERDAYAAN KADER DALAM PENGELOLAAN KULIT KAYU MANIS SEBAGAI ALTERNATIF PENGOBATAN KOMPLEMENTER

Abstrak: Kulit kayu manis (Cinnamon bark) mempunyai khasiat bagi kesehatan, khususnya sebagai antibakteri, antidiabetik, antihipertensi, antiinflamasi yang penyakitnya sering menyerang masyarakat. Kulit kayu manis sering digunakan sebagai penyedap dan pengharum masakan. Pengetahuan khasiat kulit kayu manis penting diberikan kepada masyarakat khususnya ibu-ibu dan remaja putri karena mereka yang menyediakan masakan di keluarganya. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini memberikan pengetahuan khasiat, penyimpanan dan cara pengolahan kulit kayu manis kepada kelompok ibu-ibu dan remaja putri “Aisyiyah dan Nasyiatul ‘Aisyiyah Ngawen, Klaten yang berjumlah 30 orang. Metode pengabdian masyarakat terdiri tiga tahap: (1) Sosialisasi; (2) Meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta dengan metode ceramah, focus group discussion, brain storming dan diskusi; (3) Pembentukan kader kesehatan. Evaluasi pengabdian masyarakat dengan pretest dan post-test, dengan hasil pretest 56,7 post test 65 yang menunjukkan peningkatan yang kurang signifikan. Hasil konfirmasi dari penilaian pengetahuan dari diskusi Focus Group discussion menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta yang cukup baik. Mereka dapat menjelaskan tentang khasiat kulit kayu manis, cara pengolahan , penyimpanan dengan lengkap dan jelas. Mereka juga dapat menjelaskan tugas dan fungsi kader, serta manfaat kader sebagai mediator Kesehatan bagi masyarakat.
Abstract: Cinnamon bark (Cinnamon bark) has properties for health, especially as an antibacterial, antidiabetic, antihypertensive, anti-inflammatory whose disease often attacks the community. Cinnamon bark is often used as a flavoring and cooking fragrance. Knowledge of the benefits of cinnamon bark is important for the community, especially mothers and young women because they are the ones who prepare food for their families. The purpose of this community service is to provide knowledge on the efficacy, storage and method of processing cinnamon bark to a group of women and young women "Aisyiyah and Nasyiatul 'Aisyiyah Ngawen, Klaten, totaling 30 people. The community service method consists of three stages: (1) Increasing the participants' knowledge with the lecture method; (2) Doing brainstorming and discussion; (3) Formation of health cadres. Evaluation of community service with pretest and post-test, with pretest results of 56.7 posttest 65 which showed a less significant increase. The results of the confirmation of the knowledge assessment from the Focus Group discussion showed a fairly good increase in the knowledge of the participants. They can explain the benefits of cinnamon bark, how to process it, how to store it completely and clearly. They can also explain the duties and functions of cadres, as well as the benefits of cadres as health mediators for the community.
