Abstract: Continuous care from hospital to home is needed for the rapid recovery of post-stroke sufferers with limb weakness. Family involvement is required to achieve improvements in patient health. Community service activities aim to provide knowledge, skills, and independence to families in caring for post-stroke patients through assistance by nurses. The method used is education with demonstrations, and re-demonstrations of body movement exercises in post-stroke patients. The assessment used a knowledge questionnaire and action observation sheets for one week with three observations. Mitra is a family of 10 people who care for a family member who has a stroke in the neurology room of a hospital. PKM results show a gradual increase in knowledge of 20%, 57%, and 98% and an increase in family ability from 30%, 54%, 66%, 86%, and 95% during a 4-day assessment to train the locomotion of family members who experience weakness. Observation results on days 5-6, the family is committed to always providing independent training to family members who are still being treated at the hospital under the supervision of a nurse in the neurosurgery room. A comprehensive mentoring program at the hospital effectively increases the ability and independence of families to care for family members the strokes.
