PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN DALAM MENCEGAH PENYAKIT KANKER DI MASYARAKAT

Abstrak: Kanker adalah salah satu penyakit utama yang menyebabkan kematian di dunia. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pendidikan Kesehatan dalam mencegah penyakit kanker dimasyarakat. Metode pengabdian pendidikan kesehatan yang dilakukan adalah metode ceramah berupa penjelasan mengenai pengetahuan penyakit kanker, jenis kanker dan pencegahan kanker, dilanjutkan diskusi tanya jawab mengenai pertanyaan terkait penyakit kanker dan keluhan yang dirasakan penderita kanker melalui media power point dan leaflet. Sebanyak 30 orang peserta berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan ini. Hasil pengujian analisis pengaruh pemberian edukasi terhadap tingkat pengetahuan peserta menunjukan nilai p = 0.03 dimana hal ini merupakan nilai yang signifikan sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dalam pemberian edukasi kesehatan terhadap tingkat pengetahuan peserta dalam manajemen kanker.
Abstract: Cancer is one of the main causes of death in the world. The aim of this activity is to determine the effect of providing health education in preventing cancer in the community. The health education service method used is the lecture method in the form of explanations regarding knowledge of cancer, types of cancer and cancer prevention, followed by a questio and answer discussion regarding questions about cancer and complaints felt by cancer sufferers through the media of power points and leaflets. A total of 30 participants participated in this activity. The results of testing the analysis of the effect of giving education on the level of knowledge of participants showed a value of p = 0.03 where this is a significant value so that it can be concluded that there is an influence in providing health education on the level of knowledge of participants in cancer management.
