PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN DAN PERILAKU AKTIFITAS FISIK SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR MELALUI EDUKASI BERBASIS PRAKTIK

Abstrak: Rendahnya tingkat aktifitas fisik pada anak usia sekolah merupakan faktor risiko kejadian gizi lebih dan obesitas yang merupakan pintu gerbang penyakit degeneratif di usia-usia selanjutnya. Secara global maupun di Indonesia, tingkat aktifitas fisik anak sekolah masih rendah. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan promosi aktifitas fisik yang efektif untuk mendorong perubahan pengetahuan dan perilaku. Promosi aktifitas fisik pada kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui metode edukasi berbasis praktik yang terdiri dari penyuluhan, praktik, dan pendampingan pada siswa SD Islam Assa’adah Cilandak, Jakarta Selatan. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan rerata skor pengetahuan (6,63 ± 0,655 menjadi 10 ± 10, p value=0,000) dan perilaku aktifitas fisik (2,17 ± 0,612 menjadi 2,63 ± 0,392, p value=0,031) pre dan post edukasi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa edukasi berbasis praktik merupakan upaya promotif yang efektif dalam meningkatkan aktifitas fisik siswa usia sekolah.
Abstract: low level of physical activity among school children has been the risk factor of overweight and obesity that lead to degenerative diseases in later life. In the last decade, across the globe, physical activity among school children remains low, especially in Indonesia. Therefore the effective promotion is extremely needed to encourage the change of knowledge and behavior. Physical activity promotion has been conducted by deliver practice based health education including counseling, practices, and accompaniment targeted school children at Assa’adah Islamic Elementary School in Cilandak, South Jakarta. The result shows an increase of knowledge score (6,63 ± 0,655 to 10 ± 10, p value=0,000) and physical activity score (2,17 ± 0,612 to 2,63 ± 0,392, p value=0,031) between pre and post education. It suggested that practice based health education is an effective promotion in escalating physical activity among school children.
