EDUKASI PENCEGAHAN COVID-19 MELALUI PENDAMPINGAN PEMBUATAN SERTA PENGGUNAAN HEALTHY KIT PRODUKSI LOKAL RUMAH TANGGA

Abstrak: Pandemi COVID-19 telah mempengaruhi banyak aspek kehidupan manusia. Tidak terlepas pula masyarakat kabupaten Ngada-Flores, Nusa Tenggara Timur yang walaupun belum memiliki pasien positif corona namun pemerintah telah mengambil kebijakan untuk melakukan lockdown terbatas berdasarkan instruksi pemerintah setempat. Pengabdian ini dilakukan sebagai usaha menyikapi permasalahan pandemi ini. Tujuan kegiatan adalah memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat mengenai bentuk pencegahan dan penanganan COVID-19 yang harus dilakukan oleh semua anggota masyarakat mulai dari anak-anak hingga orang tua. Tim Abdimas mengupayakan tindakan pencegahan dan penanganan melalui pendampingan pembuatan serta penggunaan healthy kit yang terdiri dari cairan disinfektan, cairan cuci tangan, dan hand sanitizer menggunakan bahan rumah tangga yang mudah diperoleh masyarakat. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 50 mahasiswa yang tersebar di wilayah kabupaten Ngada dan Nagekeo. Hasil yang dicapai adalah adanya peningkatan kemampuan masyarakat dalam membuat sabun cuci tangan, cairan disinfektan, dan hand sanitizer menggunakan produk lokal rumah tangga serta menerapkan tindakan pencegahan penyebaran COVID-19 dengan baik dan benar sesuai petunjuk protokol kesehatan. Berdasarkan hasil angket yang dikumpulkan tim Abdimas, skor rerata pemahaman masyarakat dalam pembuatan healthy kit mencapai 89,7% sementara capaian dalam penggunaannya adalah 87,2 % dan termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik.

Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic has enormous impact on several humanitarian aspect. So it does on the people of Ngada-Flores district, East Nusa Tenggara, who although haven’t any corona patient yet, but the regional government has taken action by doing limited lockdown based on the instruction of local government. This community service is an effort in response to this pandemic. The aim of the service is to educate people about forms of prevention and handling of COVID-19 for all society member start from children to adult. The community service team is trying the prevention and handling forms through facilitating of the making and using of healthy kit which consists of disinfectant liquid, hand soap, and hand sanitizer using affordable household materials by people. This activity involving 50 students spread throughout Ngada and Nagekeo district. The result is the improvement of people’s ability in making hand soap, disinfectant liquid, and hand sanitizer using household products and implementing preventing action of COVID-19 spreading rightly and well according to the health protocol guidelines. Based on the questionnaire results collected by this community service team, average score about social understanding in the making of healthy kit reaches 89,7%, while the achievement on the using of healthy kit is 87,2% and both are in the condition of very well.
