CINEMA THERAPY DAN FOCUS GROUP DISCUSSION: UPAYA PREVENTIF INTERNALIZED SEXISM TERHADAP BUDAYA PATRIAKI

Abstrak: Dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat, laki-laki mendapatkan peran yang asimetris daripada perempuan. Sehingga, bermunculan ungkapan ketidaksetaraan dalam keinginan untuk berkontribusi untuk lingkungan sekitar dari perempuan. Masyarakat menanggap sebuah hal ini “tidak sesuai†dengan norma-norma yang ada karena laki-laki dianggap sebagai individu paling utama, paling unggul, dan dominan dalam masyarakat. Ketidaksetaraan antara peran laki-laki dan perempuan menjadi salah satu hambatan struktural yang menyebabkan individu dalam masyarakat tidak memiliki akses yang sama. Permasalahan yang diangkat di alam pengabdian program ini adalah ketidaksetaraan gender dalam beraktifitas sebagai perempuan di Kota Samarinda. Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membantu meningkatkan pengetahuan pentingnya kesetaraan gender dalam berkehidupan. Program unggulan Cinema Therapy dan Focus Group Discussion, program edukasi keseteraan gender ke masyarakat sebagai metode penyelesaian masalah. Langkah-langkah dalam menyelesaikan masalah yaitu (1) edukasi perilaku internalized sexism dan budaya patriaki, (2) Menonton Film Kartini, (3) berdiskusi nilai / makna dari film. Setelah materi dan film diperlihatkan, masyarakat mengalami penurunan tingkat internalized sexism. Sehingga, para remaja dapat memahami kesetaraan gender.Setelah materi dan film diperlihatkan, masyarakat mengalami penurunan tingkat internalized sexism.

Abstract: In social life, men get asymmetrical roles than women. Thus, there are expressions of inequality in desire to contribute to environment from women. Society considers this matter "incompatible" with existing norms because men are considered the important, superior, and dominant individuals in society. Inequality between the roles of men and women is one of the structural barriers that causes individuals in society to not have equal access. The problem raised in this program is gender inequality in activities as women in Samarinda City. This Community Service Program aims to increase knowledge about the importance of gender equality in life. Cinema Therapy and Focus Group Discussion flagship programs, gender equality education programs community as a method of problem solving. The steps in solving the problem are (1) educating the behavior of internalized sexism and patriarchal culture, (2) watching Kartini, (3) discussing the meaning of the film. After the materials and films were shown, society experienced a decrease in the level of internalized sexism.
