PENYULUHAN PENGGUNAAN JARING SEBAGAI PELINDUNG RUMPUT LAUT DARI SERANGAN HAMA MAKRO PADA PEMBUDIDAYA RUMPUT LAUT

Abstrak: Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman pembudidaya rumput laut terkait upaya melindungi tanaman rumput laut dari serangan hama makro seperti ikan baronang dan penyu untuk menjamin stabilitas produksi rumput laut, keberadaan stok dan kestabilan harga dan kepercayaan pasar, hal ini sangat penting, untuk menjaga kestabilan perekonomian pembudidaya rumput laut yang terguncang akibat lahan budidaya rumput laut di serang hama makro rumput laut yaitu ikan baronang dan penyu dengan intensitas tinggi. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat, dilakukan dalam beberapa tahapan antara lain: (1) Tahap Persiapan; (2) tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan; (3) tahap evaluasi. Pelaksanaan kegiatan penyuluhan dan sosialisasi terkait penggunaan jaring untuk memagari rumput laut yang di budidaya dapat dikatakan berhasil secara signifikan 100%, indikator nya, terlihat jelas adanya perubahan pengetahuan dan pemahaman pembudidaya rumput laut secara keseluruhan yang mengikuti kegiatan ini. Hal ini nampak dari kemampuan serta ketrampilan pembudidaya rumput laut Desa Allumang yang sudah dapat menerapkan teknik ini, setelah kegiatan penyuluhan dan sosialisasi selesai dilakukan.

Abstract: The implementation of this community service activity aims to increase knowledge and understanding of seaweed farmers regarding efforts to protect seaweed plants from macro pests such as baronang fish and turtles to ensure the stability of seaweed production, stock availability and price stability and market confidence, this is very important. , to maintain the stability of the economy of seaweed cultivators who were shaken by the seaweed cultivation area being attacked by macro pests of seaweed, namely baronang fish and turtles with high intensity. The method of implementing Community Service activities is carried out in several stages, including: (1) Preparation Stage; (2) activity implementation stage; (3) evaluation stage. The implementation of counseling and socialization activities related to the use of nets to fence the cultivated seaweed can be said to be significantly successful 100%, the indicator, it is clear that there is a change in knowledge and understanding of seaweed cultivators as a whole who participates in this activity.
