Abstract

Abstract: The empowerment of society is an important aspect in tourism development. This is due to the tourism development utilizes resources owned by the society. They have an important
role to support the successful development of tourism so that people who do not have jobs
still need to be empowered to create independence and increase the economic prosperity through the development of SMEs. This study used a descriptive method that aims to describe and analyze the impact of the Mandalika Special Economic Area development on society SMEs activities through the development of tourism areas.

Abstrak:Pemberdayaan masyarakat merupakan aspek yang sangat penting dalam pembangunan pariwisata. Hal ini dikarenakan pembangunan pariwisata banyak memanfaatkan sumber daya yang dimiliki masyarakat. Masyarakat mempunyai peran yang penting untuk menunjang keberhasilan pengembangan pariwisata sehingga masyarakat yang belum mempunyai pekerjaan tetap perlu diberdayakan untuk menciptakan kemandirian dan peningkatan kesejahteraan ekonomi melalui pengembangan UMKM. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis mengenai dampak dari pembangunan Sirkuit Mandalika terhadap kegiatan-kegiatan UMKM masyarakat melalui pembangunan kawasan pariwisata.
