Abstract: The background of this research starts with the competencies expected for SMK graduates, such as being ready for the working world and being able to collaborate with teams. However, in the learning process at SMK, when a problem is presented in groups, all students still work individually. This study aims to determine the improvement of vocational student’s collaboration skills by implementing problem based learning models in learning activities. The method used is Class Action Research, applying 2 learning cycles. The research was conducted at one of the Vocational High Schools in Kecamatan Cerenti, Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. The research subjects were 24 students, consisting of 20 female students and 4 male students. Data collection techniques involved observation assisted by 2 observers. The results showed an increase in all aspects of collaboration skills from cycle one to cycle two. Based on these results, it can be interpreted that the application of a problem-based learning model is able to improve the skills of Vocational High School students.
