Abstract:Â Discussion is a method to deepen the understanding of the material by encouraging participants to be more active. Discussions can be conducted with the Buzz Group Discussion (BGD) model and Windows Shopping (WS). In this study BGD was divided into two models: discussion with the free questioner (BGDB) and with the designated questioner (BGDT). This study aims to find out which discussion method is more effective and enjoyable according to the participants. The design of this study was qualitative descriptive. Data were collected by gathering participants opinions on the implementation of the three discussion models and through observations during the discussion. The object of the study was the Latsar CPNS Year 2019 C Class Participant on Quality Commitment material. The results showed that the discussion methods preferred by participants were: 1) BGDB, 2) WS, and 3) BGDT, respectively. This study suggest that both models of discussion can be applied to improve learning effectiveness and participant interest.References
