PEMANFAATAN CARTOON STORY MAKER, SEBUAH TEKNOLOGI KOMIK DIGITAL SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN MENULIS BAHASA INGGRIS

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurangnya pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran menulis Bahasa Inggris serta masih rendahnya kemampuan menulis mahasiswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh penggunaan media Cartoon Story Maker terhadap tulisan mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi, perencanaan, pleaksanaan, analisis, dan penyajian data. Data diperoleh dari hasil tulisan mahasiswa dan juga kuesioner yang diisi mahasiswa. Tulisan mahasiswa dinilai dengan menggunakan Penilaian Acuan Patokan (PAP). Selanjutnya nilai tersebut dianalisis menggunakan SPS22 untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media tersebut. Hasilnya, seluruh komponen tulisan dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan media Cartoon Story maker dengan pengaruh yang paling besar terdapat pada komponen organisasi pada tulisan mahasiswa.
Abstract: Â The lack of using technology in teaching English and also the lack of students' writing skills become the background of this study. The purpose of this study was to determine the magnitude of the effect of the use of the media Cartoon Story Maker on student writing. The methods used include observation, planning, implementation, analysis, and data presentation. Data obtained from the results of student writing and questionnaires filled out by students. Student writing was assessed using the Benchmark Reference Assessment. Then the score was analysed using SPS22 to determine the effect of the use of the media. As a result, all writing components were influenced by the use of the Cartoon Story maker media with the greatest effect on the organizational component of student writing.References
