EKSPERIMENTASI STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA BERBASIS MASALAH (PROBLEM SOLVING) DAN KONTEKSTUAL (CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING) DITINJAU DARI GAYA BELAJAR SISWA DI KOTA SURAKARTA

Salah satu mata pelajaran yang diujikan dalam UjianNasional (UN) SMP/ Mts adalah matematika. Karenanya, nilai mata pelajaran matematika harus terus ditingkatkan. Dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar matematika siswa, diperlukan beberapa perubahan dalam proses belajar mengajar matematika. Oleh karena itu perlu dikaji apakah terdapat perbedaan prestasibelajar siswa pada masing-masing strategi pembelajaran (Problem Solving, CTL) yang diterapkan dan apakah terdapat perbedaan prestasi belajar siswa pada masing-masing gaya belajar siswa yang diperhatikan. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Kota Surakarta Tahun Pelajaran 2010/2011. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan Stratified Cluster Random Sampling. Ukuran sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 191 siswa. Hasil uji ANAVA dua jalan dengan sel tak sama adalah (1) Prestasi belajar matematika siswa dengan strategi pembelajaran problem solvinglebih baik dibandingkan dengan prestasi belajar matematika siswa dengan strategi pembelajaran CTL, (2) Prestasi belajar matematika siswa dengan gaya belajar auditorial sama dengan prestasi belajar matematika siswa dengan gaya belajar kinestetik, prestasi belajar matematika siswa dengan gaya belajar kinestetik sama dengan prestasi belajar matematika siswa dengan gaya belajar visual, prestasi belajar matematika siswa dengan gaya belajar auditorial sama dengan prestasibelajar matematika siswa dengan gaya belajar visual.
