ANALISIS PEMANFAATAN SMARTPHONE BAGI SISWA SEKOLAH MENENGAH DI KOTA LANGSA

Abstrak: Kota Langsa merupakan salah satu wilayah yang masyarakatnya melek terhadap perkembangan zaman. Hampir setiap siswa di kota ini memiliki smartphone. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan smartphone bagi pelajar sekolah menengah di Kota Langsa. Metode yang digunakan yakni penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini melibatkan seluruh siswa sekolah menengah di Kota Langsa, dimana sampel yang diambil berjumlah 100 orang dengan teknik random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan angket. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian , diketahui bahwa pelajar sekolah menengah di Kota Langsa memanfaatkan smartphone untuk komunikasi, pendidikan, jual-beli, memperoleh informasi, hiburan, dan hobi dengan durasi bervariasi. Penggunanaan paling banyak dan durasi terlama yaitu sebagai sarana komunikasi. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa sekolah menengah di Kota Langsa belum memanfaatkan smartphone secara maksimal untuk pendidikan
Abstract: Â Langsa is one of the areas where the people are literate with the times. Almost every student in this city has a smartphone. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of smartphones for high school students in Langsa City. The method used is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. This study involved all high school students in Langsa City, where the sample taken was 100 people with random sampling technique. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaires. Based on a survey conducted, it is known that high school students in Langsa City use smartphones for communication, education, buying and selling, obtaining information, entertainment, and hobbies of varying duration. The use of the most and the longest duration is as a means of communication. So it can be concluded that high school students in Langsa City have not used smartphones optimally for education.References
