PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT DALAM PENDIRIAN BANK SAMPAH

ABSTRAK
Desa Candiwatu merupakan salah satu Desa yang ada di Kecamatan Pacet Kabupaten Mojokerto, yang memiliki sejumlah permasalahan lingkungan yaitu belum tersedianya lembaga bank sampah. Desa Candiwatu belum memiliki TPST (Tempat Pembuangan Sampah Sementara), dan sampah masih dibuang di belakang rumah masing-masing dengan cara dibakar. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk memberikan sosialisasi dan pelatihan tentang pendirian bank sampah. Metode pelaksanaan dalam pengabdian ini yaitu dengan cara memberikan materi melalui sosialisasi dan memberikan pertanyaan-pertanyaan melalui pre-test dan post—test, sedangkan kelompok sasaran yang dituju adalah ibu-ibu PKK, kelompok karang taruna dan aparatur Desa. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum dilakukan pengabdian tentang sosialisasi dan penyuluhan mengenai pendirian bank sampah, alur kegiatan bank sampah dan partisipasi masyarakat tentang bank sampah rata-rata 33% menyatakan belum mengerti dan belum memahami tentang bank sampah. Setelah dilakukan pengabdian melalui sosialisasi dan penyuluhan mengenai pendirian bank sampah, alur bank sampah dan partisipasi masyarakat terhadap pendirian bank sampah, rata-rata 75% masyarakat sudah mengerti dan memahami pentingnya pendirian bank sampah. Hasil pengabdian dapat disimpulkan bahwa warga Desa Candiwatu antusias untuk mendirikan bank sampah dan masyarakat bersedia memilah sampah karena sampah yang telah dipilah dapat menghasilkan nilai ekonomi ketika dijual di bank sampah.

ABSTRACT
Candiwatu Village is one of the villages in Pacet District, Mojokerto Regency, which has a number of environmental problems, namely the unavailability of a waste bank institution. Candiwatu Village does not yet have a TPST (Temporary Waste Disposal Site), and garbage is still dumped behind each house by burning it. This service is carried out with the aim of providing socialization and training on the establishment of a waste bank. The method of implementation in this service is by providing material through socialization and giving questions through pre-test and post-test, while the target groups targeted are PKK mothers, youth groups and village officials. The results of this dedication show that before the socialization and counseling on the establishment of a waste bank, the flow of waste bank activities and community participation on waste banks, an average of 33% stated that they did not understand and did not understand about waste banks. After community service has been carried out through socialization and counseling regarding the establishment of a waste bank, the flow of a waste bank and community participation in the establishment of a waste bank, an average of 75% of the community understands and understands the importance of establishing a waste bank. The results of this dedication can be concluded that the people of Candiwatu Village are enthusiastic about establishing a waste bank and the community is willing to sort waste because the sorted waste can generate economic value when sold at the waste bank.
