ABSTRACT
One of the roles of families in Primary Health Care (PHC) is the provision of family medicinal plants (toga) in living pharmacies as the main raw material in the management of prevention and management of diseases including COVID-19. Bendega neighborhood is one of the neighborhoods in Tanjung Karang Village, Sekarbela District, Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Bendega is a densely populated environment. The area of yards in each household in the Bendega neighborhood is inadequate to be used as land for cultivation. Lack of green open space and densely populated areas causes sanitation in the Bendega Neighborhood to be less attention. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic like now. In general, adolescents in the Bendega neighborhood have a lot of time because the learning activities are doing not face-to-face and the average mothers work as traders so that from the afternoon until the evening they can use the time to attend the socialization. The aim of this community service activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of partners in planting and processing types of toga that scientifically function to prevent COVID-19, as well as disseminating information about how to grow toga in limited land in order to create independent living pharmacies with vertical garden techniques. Methods of implementation: survey, permition, land data collection and inventory, collection of raw materials, making posters & counseling, socialization of toga cultivation & processing techniques, evaluation of activities, documentation and reporting. From the results of the activity, an increase in knowledge about toga was obtained by 90% sample. The object groups acquire new skills in farming with vertical garden techniques.
